I have heard the same story, but I'm not convinced that it is a.) true, b.) if it is, the taxable gain amounts are large enough to screw around with with either redemptions or selling off losers to offset.

I am just not convinced at all that there will be any tax related selling of any size from here on out. I would even bet that there will not be. Which is one reason I'm now in cash trying to figure out what to do.
