You can teach it easier than that. I bet I can teach it to my third grader. Here's one way to do it:

1. Open Excel.
2. Type across the top (row 1), "Symbol", "Price", "EPS", "PE", "Growth", and "PEG"
3. Type in your data on row 2:
a. Symbol--we should know this
b. Price--from e.g., finance.yahoo.com
c. EPS--from e.g., yahoo.marketguide.com
d. PE--type in the following formula: =+B2/C2
e. Growth--from e.g., biz.yahoo.com (about half way down, "Earnings Growth" over several periods is set out)
f. PEG--Type in the following formula: =D2/100/E2 (The "100" is to make the two numbers the same, relatively.)
