Steve, Mike and covered call experts,

Well, my first batch of BRCM covered calls are looking pretty ridiculous, calls selling for over $50 now, only about $3 premium left. Even the 4th batch 125 stock/135 calls aren't looking that smart today (g).

Anyway, the thought just occurred to me last night that the fatter sold-calls would make a nice year '2000 tax loss.
I'd like to sell less expensive (out of money) calls to help pay for them though. Can I do this and still claim the tax loss?
