Forgot to mention the graphic system for my 233MMX->Duron927 upgrade. My 3-year old card had 4MB and the new has 8 MB, both fairly generic, though I am sure the latter is more powerful. I believe the majority of the gains I have seen are the result of the processor.

The faster internet was something I looked forward too as well as additional CPU capacity for the few demanding drawings I have to work on (extra RAM, 64->256 definitely helped here as well as much faster HD).

Again, each individual's wants/needs is what matters.
