Ah, I didn't see THAT distinction because I was specifically thinking of the restrictions that Christians put on themselves vs. those that non-Christians have. I'm sure there are some that are the same in both groups but I was specifically thinking of the philosophical restrictions rather than secular pragmatic restrictions. You're right of course, we all have restrictions.

I suppose it matters more where you derive these restrictions and their traceability. The fact is that Christians do put restrictions on themselves that you or I may not put upon our selves. But I was pointing out in my last post that the nature of these restrictions seems highly arbitrary although they would have you believe otherwise.

The Catholics have one set of restrictions and Fundies another. They are each sure the other is wrong, using the same basic texts. Add to that JWs and Mormons, Church of Christ and Pentecostals, you've got a 31 flavors of restrictions.
