imo January will be one of the more memorable periods in market history...many commodities look like they are on the cusp of a big move up, even though oil prices have come under pressure. all the ag commodities for instance look poised nicely. that should give us less favorable inflation numbers than the market now foresees...apparently the latest liquidity binge has found its way into hard rather than paper assets. that should help delay actual rate cuts in spite of the loud clamoring from WS. a neat set-up for a liquidity, and ultimately solvency crisis.
