I suspect that any gains from the "Butterfly Ballot" would have been swamped by the 10,000 or more votes Bush would have picked up in the panhandle if the Networks hadn't been so bloody anxious to call Florida for Gore.

The will-of-the-people was for Bush.

Buchanan. I agree that the butterfly ballot was a de facto literacy test, which I thought was illegal since the days of Jim Crow.

There is no question that Bush wins FL by 10% or more if Gore didn't try to rig the state.

If any of you are capable and reaching deep in side yourselves and give a truly honest opinion. In FL, if the buttetfly and punchole ballots were replaced with easy to follow ballots, who would have won FL (ie The will of the people)

Easy answer. Bush.

Nichols, from the very beginning you (and Al) should have realized that there are little inequities like you state all over the country. Thousands of them for and against both sides. The argument that you and Al are so comfortable with is that it is not only ok, but good to tear through the system with an army of lawyers to look for some detail that will allow him to TAKE the lead from GWB.

In addition to not understanding that principal you trash a person who has had the rightful lead at EVERY corner. Including some BIG legal judgements passed down by democratic judges. The best lawyers in the world could not make the case in the court of law, yet you still believe. Amazing.

The ONLY victory Gore got was to change the rules from 7 days to count to 19 days to count. Still couldn't win even with a BIG partisan advantage.

I think we should all e-mail Al Gore to KEEP UP THE FIGHT even after the FL SC affirms Sauls ruling. He is RUINING your party no matter how much YOU like his shenanigans.

Nichols I suggest you look at voter turnout in this election in Florida, when all is said and done Blacks voted above 90% ,this is unprecedented and wholly unbelievable. Which means their is considerable fraud lingering in the entire voter numbers in the counties being contested.

Nationaly it's the same story, I heard in Philadelphia the % of black voters was just as high, you might say why is that a problem? Well friend statistics prove that it is unlikely in all scenarios that virtually every black person would have been available that day. Charley Mayne presented scholarship on this subject this morning.

In other words these precincts could not withstand independent audits, so when you project this forward, keep these thoughts in your mind, because ultimately your side is going to be embarrased in all this, then the loosing really starts!.

Nichols, "If any of you are capable and reaching deep in side yourselves and give a truly honest opinion. In FL, if the buttetfly and punchole ballots were replaced with easy to follow ballots, who would have won FL (ie The will of the people)"

Actually, you need to address several other areas of concern before I would be willing to believe that this situation in FL supported Gore.

Specifically, I would like to see the following addressed:

1. The large number of military absentee ballots that were requested, but NEVER delivered.

2. The findings of the investigation regarding the absentee ballots that were being legally requested and then intercepted and fraudulently submitted.

3. Purge the felons from the rolls and fire them from their poll watcher/worker positions.

4. Purge the illegal aliens.

5. Set hand counting standards to preclude the "dimpled chad" issue.

No doubt, there are other areas of concern.

The margn of victory was smaller than the margin of error. All we can do is rely on the EXISTING laws to decide the outcome.
