I think it's called an equalizer. Some way of torqueing the hook up that spreads some of the weight to the front of the towing vehicle. The DMI is a hitch that's spring loaded to cushion starts and stops with heavy loads. Farmer who haul stock trailers, grain wagons.... use them.
