You know why the Republicans were slow out of the gate to fight this battle? Because they had to compromise their principles to get down in the mud. Democrats don't have to compromise theirs because they don't have any.

Well said...The Republicans just don't have the ground troups to fight down and dirty...

I am not threatening anyone.
not you personally, But you are trying to raise the specter of dire consequences to Gore, to Floridians, the Supreme Court, and to everyone else because of this ruling. That is a threat even though indirect.

I was just saying that the consequences (the threat) are largely negated by the fact that conservatives have already punished every person and group they disagree with about as much as they can civilly.
know why the Republicans were slow out of the gate to fight this battle?
If you are saying that the next consequence will not be civil, well, I have personal contingencies and I am sure the law enforcement agencies do also.

The Republicans were only hours behind the Democrats in getting their lawyers down to Florida on November the 8th.

So much misinformation out there!

[And Bush's lawyers have out-filed the Dems in # of lawsuits ever since!]
