JDN: I guess the next question would be, How liberal is the liberal side of the SC? Considering how scathing the chief justice's dissent was of the other four, I would hope the SC will see it likewise. My concern is Kennedy and O'Connor. We need them both to overrule. My guess is that we might get at least one or two more to make it a 6 to 3 or 7 to 2 decision. What the SC really needs to do is take the appeal from Bush and swat down the FLSC in 30 minutes to send a message. Ahh, but I'm dreaming.
This whole ruling has set a precedent and that's what's so frightening for our country. You see how many posters on this board can't see how the FLSC is changing laws and NOT doing their job. The whole liberal mindset is being exposed for what it is and many in our land are blind to it. Sad, indeed. Hopefully, some sanity will prevail. This has the makings of another Civil War of sorts. There is no way the FL Legislature will allow the FLSC to usurp their authority. What a mess! What a tragedy! The Clinton-Gore-Reno Socialist Republic lives on.
