Bill. Just one quick note. I am disgusted. Those 4 Justices were just recently confirmed for another 6 yrs, so they don't have to answer to the voters for a while.
I hope the US Supreme Court reverses this. Unfortunately, my prediction, that this Court would revive Gore once again, came to pass. There was one good thing in this ruling: Nobody could have done a better job on those 4 Judges down there than their own Chief Justice did.
I am all for counting all the votes but this will be a mess. There will be plenty of dimples found for Gore. If they use a diff. standard, then Brevard Co. should be recounted again also. There were too many pregnant chads counted.
That reminds me of what I heard the other day on TV. It went something like this: Liberals don't mind getting rid of unborn babies but they want to give pregnant chads the right to be born.

I guess you noticed how most of the stocks went down in after hours.

Bill. The mess in FLA will begin at 8 am Sat. morning. No standards, no challenges by observers at the time of the count. Every canvassing board in Fla can determine how to count the no votes. So I am pretty sure that Gore will end up having lots of no votes. Actually, from now on we will not have to vote again. No voting will produce Dem presidents. And deadlines don't count anymore. But I am sure we can't apply this to April 15th.

What I would like to know is: The Judge was taking ideas from the Lawyers on how to proceed and then he had to go upstairs to higher ups while the Lawyers were waiting in the court room. I wonder who those higher ups were. When he came back he ruled on this 8 am time and all prev. discussions by Bush's Lawyers were like thrown out. I guess he was told by someone that he had to start counting right away just like Gore's Lawyers had told him in the earlier discussions.

This following article is probably meaningless because the Judge said he ordered all recounts to be finished by 2 pm Sunday. That will leave them enough time to be done before the 12th and hence will have Gore's Electors in place unless the Georgia or the US Supreme Court chimes in. But once this flawed recount will begin it's hard to set the clock back. So called justice will have been done, supposedly. Like one Comic likes to say: What a Country.
