I think the aftermarket reaction to Gore's recount court win today is more an issue of the fact that the election is STILL undecided. My guess is that the upward movement during trading hours today was based upon the hope that things would actually end today. 2 court cases did, but the big one didn't. There may be something to "Bush=prosperity" and "Gore=recession" to some people, but I don't think that was reflected in today's action nearly as much as the hope for a conclusion.

<It becomes more amplified as it drags out.>

Since Monday is the only trading day prior to the magical December 12th deadline, it is going to be extremely interesting to see what happens market-wise on Monday (not to mention recount/court/election-wise).
