Thanks for the update on Palm!

I am happy for SDMC/MMC despite my affections for CF.
It would appear that MMC/SDMC may have a bunch of new
slots by 2001. Funny that SmartMedia has had no penetration
whatsoever in the handheld market, yet has strongholds in
the digital film and the MP3 markets. The fact that SmartMedia
is still hanging tight is a bit frustrating to me.

I suspect that SanDisk will be one of Toshiba's best resellers.

We should demand and expect quarterly updates from Mr. Calderoni on
SmartMedia sales as a percentage of total revenues. I am
also curious as to why PC peripherals are never mentioned
in the revenue statements. They must have sold a buttload
of PCMCIA adapters and CF/SmartMedia readers at this point.
