The thought of LIEberman as VP repulses me...

Perhaps this goes to congress and Bush gets president then Lieberman vice president. We know Liberman can change his spots very quickly. Now he comes back in support of school vouchers etc.

That scenario would give the Repubs outright control of the Senate.

Don't you think the USSC will step in?
Didn't the FSC rewrite the law, again?

Finally, a post to respond to. I go out a few hours and 100 posts appear.

Here's the thing...assuming worst case scenario for the Bush side.

FL legislature sends a slate redundant with the slate Jeb signed off on.

USSC wimps out again and does nothing, FLSC orders that winner of recount gets certified.

IF Bush holds his lead, game is over.

IF Gore gets the lead, Jeb refuses to certify.("He ain't heavy, he's my brother")

Will FL SC find the Governor in contempt? I highly doubt it.

Now, Fast Forward to January 6, assuming none of the other legal battles change things.

Votes counted, two slates from FL...what to do? What will we do????
3 USC 1-15 resolves the problem...the congress must pick the slate certified by Jeb.

Now, should for some reason, no slate be available, the Congress says that electors were appointed but not delivered...538 still the total, so 270 still the majority.

But no one would have 270 electoral votes, so they caucus and vote state by state...28 Republican states my friends.

Bush wins...and Lieberman wins in the Senate as VP.

This doomsday scenario is subject to change.
