Cash position in non-U.S. currency :

This is tricky since Asia is having a crisis (or will soon)
and many international bond funds hold lots of U.S.
dollar denominated paper

I bought RPIBX, T Rowe Price Intl Bond Fund
Had to pay a commission with Schwab.
(is RPIBX - the sound a frog makes ?)

ALso bough a little BEGBX, but don't like it as much a RPIBX.
It is however, a ScwabOne so I can get in and out for free.

Look up International bond Fund on your brokers screen, then see which are easy to buy (no $1 million minnimums institutional funds) Print a list , then use the brokers site to check their holdings, and see if the have U.S., Latin Ameirca or Asia.

You can also get this data , and some good comments, from MOrningstar for a fee. (Like "This fund does well when the dollar drops")

I'll tolerate some U.S., but I want most European, Austrailia , NZ governments.

Any companies still making fallout shelters ? ;-)
