Rcihard, If they mean "Beaufort Sea, then that makes a lot more sense. In fact if you want a good adventure, then drive the Prudhoe Bay haul road from Fox (just north of Fairbanks and where the Malemute Saloon is located where Robert Service wrote lots of his poetry)to Deadhorse in the summer. Go late August as in June and July you will be swarmed be hoards of flies and mosquitos..although by August the tundra a partially thaws and it's darned hard to walk on....
