If it's easier and faster to read posts, we'll be following more threads and reading more posts, then, in theory, we'll post more responses which lurking non-members will read, they'll see and click on more banner ads, maybe will get motivated to join up as full members. Snowball effect. :-)

peter,

Long time, no talk to.

I see that the features would make for a better product, but can't figure out a specific way that would contribute to the bottom line.

SI lost a lot of valued posters when they changed the format and began displaying ads. They lost more when they disabled BrowseMaster. If MarketSpirit could get the act together, that's where I would be now.

I believe that if SI incorporated BrowseMaster's functions, it would increase the user base. Especially if they could figure a way to allow non-members to use the BrowseMaster feature to download 100 or more messages at a time, and include advertisements in the downloads. (Again, for non-members only) They would get a lot more "hits" per hour.

Remember, you can read messages while downloading, rather than waiting for each message to be downloaded individually.

There are many options.

SI management simply needs to hire Craig to help them explore them.

Have fun,
Phil

Peter,

<< I see that the features would make for a better product, but can't figure out a specific way that would contribute to the bottom line. >>

Think about it.

I could right a book about it several people have.

You think about it, and report back if you have any interest in project.

I am sure you can come up with an answer or to.

At the moment I am trying to work on the technical side with SI.

Thank you.
