I doubt that the above statement is true. Q's new chip has 2 ARM cores. Q's plan is to have one for PDA functions another one for phone. I would think that Palm OS would be on there before CE. As for the phone side, Q is still strong with its in-house OS. But as those who use Qualcomm handsets may know that the performance on that OS is questionable. As we go forward, phone would act more like a DSL box or cable modem than a voice communications device, which means stuff like broadband and TCP/IP. Even more importantly, time-to-market for whatever application there may be. Q's focus is on ASICs and IPR, not applications. Only a pure play like WRS can do it all. I have not lost any hope that VxWorks or pSOS will get in there.
