Al Gore ... alone has caused this crisis. If he had called for a full recount of the entire state in the first place rather than his selfish, sneaky, count only the Democratic counties with lots of votes, then maybe he would have some vestage of honor but he has none. Gore offered to abide by a full state recount. According to news pundits, he did so knowing that Bush would reject the offer, and Bush did in fact reject it. So he did offer to stand or fall by the full state recount.
