<<Tim, it wasnt brilliant, but rather cautious
I observed the ebb & flow
everything all week went for Bush
all major moves in the Naz went in our favor
if there is anything I have learnt in the last few weeks...
if offered, esp if offered generously, TAKE IT, then back off

/ jim >>

So, I assume you think we head lower next week and get some buying opp's....very wise of you to get out at peak of day...I waited til they announced the decision and lost $1 on atml, $4 on rmbs and $4 or so on jdsu........but, like I've said a dozen times now, I hope to get a chance to buy them back at a cheaper rate......

theory: FLSupCt is attempting to nullify FL 25 Electors

if no electors are sent to WashDC, then Gore might win
if two sets of 25 electors are appointed, one Dem and one Repub,
then they will cancel each other out
sending two sets is equivalent to sending nobody

I notice Democrats refuse to answer the simple question:
WHAT IS THE UNIFORM STANDARD TO BE APPLIED TO HAND RECOUNT ???

why are Democrats so effing dense as to fail to recognize that an undervoted ballot is probably registering no vote

the US Supreme Court will end this sometime next week
meanwhile, an Atlanta Federal Circuit judge is being asked to slap an injunction on this charade recount

Jim, Agree. US Supreme Court will end it.
One thing we have to note is that the chief Justice Wells in Florida made very strong statements about constitutional crisis. The 3 minority opinion judges are also Democrats.
I would bet that deep down he agrees with the majority opinion but is a wise man who realized the seriousness of forcing the recount and all its implications.

Consider the Supreme Court---even if they have a 50/50 political background split---I am pretty confident that some senior democrat appointees are going to realize the seriousness of the issue and overturn Florida.
I think you can take the FLA Chief Justice's opinion as an indicator of what the US Supreme Court will do.

That is why I think it gets overturned next week.

In addition, I think (or hope) that the US court will allow them the temporary injunction to halt recounts....I think they will.

Good move then Jim. You locked in some handsome gains in a very tough & unforgiving market.

I hope that the injunction is granted & this charade is over by Monday AM. Even if this is completely decided by then, you will still get more than one opportunity to pick up bargains soon enough.

The hearing on how to carry out the Florida Supreme Dolts' Order is going on right now. Enlightening. Judge Terry Lewis might have to spend the next couple of years counting ballots, one by one, using multiple standards to replicate the canvassing boards. Otherwise, the rules would change after the election, which is impermissible. Even so, the process has changed the rules, and after he's done, it will be declared in violation of federal law and the US Constitution.

The Florida Supreme Dolts. Even with the OJ bull, we could blame it on judge, jury, and prosecutors. Here, four supreme dolts with more power than brains have caused this. Did these people go to law school? College? Or are they all just partisan political Demolib hacks? They're holding our whole country hostage, and they love it.
