The paper said the Queen of Pop wanted to avoid the ''disaster'' of her first wedding and said that hats and stretch limos would also be banned from the showbiz wedding of the year. ``Madonna is a devout follower of Buddhism and she wants the whole thing to have a Buddhist feel,'' the paper quoted a source close to the star as saying. The impending marriage between the 42-year-old singer and her British boyfriend was revealed when the banns were posted at the Dornoch registrar's office in Sutherland in the Scottish Highlands on Thursday. The couple will wed three days before Christmas at Skibo castle near Dornoch. It is a favorite backdrop for the weddings of the rich and famous. The source told the Sun the Material Girl would be keen to avoid the chaotic scenes that surrounded her wedding to Sean Penn in 1985 held on a beachfront in the Californian sunshine. ``The venue is very peaceful and she wants it to have an air of tranquility,'' the source said. `Her last wedding was a nightmare with helicopters buzzing overhead and was a bit of a disaster.
