Meat - the second. I think that having a comprehensive layout of SAN capabilities on the web is a potentially powerful tool - customers can examine the DELL story without ever calling in a sales guy. But the rubber meets the road if that IT guy is interested and actually calls DELL - then he will start comparing pre-sales engineering with what he sees from CPQ, IBM and HP. DELL needs to deliver an equivalent level of expertise to pass through the gate.

M: The very reason dell private web pages are created is so that any employee can put together a configuration, verify it, and submit or pass it on to management and/or procurement or further discussion. I used to be an SE for Xerox computer systems and only a few of us could really configure systems. Configuration and pricing estimated is a great help online.
