Joe,

When Sanders Sauls was a lower court judge, his rulings were frequently overturned by circuit court judges. The saying went that his legal career survived because of his excellent family connections. [Those things don't hurt, not even in the good USA, I suppose]

I wouldn't consider it an honor to be persistently overturned by a broad spectrum of legal entities.
