Just speculation, but I think it's this. He's making a huge, historically significant statement, based upon his well-reasoned judgment based upon sound reasoning based upon fact and law, versus political diatribe, based upon nothing.

First, the FL Supreme Dolts don't like him, on a purely local, parochial court "management" basis. He was the chief local judge, and dared express strong views with which they disagreed. They demoted him, for no reason. Second, he strictly construes the legislature's laws as written, which is the right way to do it, and the FL Supreme Dolts don't like that; they're liberal supremicists, disguised as "touchy-feely" liberals. Doesn't fly, not for an instant.

Sauls has been reversed several times by FLSupCt
his views have conflicted countless times with FLSC
they have exchanged harsh words in the press and media
his demotion was very controversial
not based upon competence, but liberal approach

Saul's wife is in the act, castigating high court in newspapers

personally, I believe the Florida entire court system has been compromised by these hacks
