Sure, Team Gore has been asking for selective recounts where it would help them. Sure it's hypocritical. Sure, Team Bush should fight that. The obvious remedy to fight selective recounts is to ask for full recounts. Somehow I never heard Team Bush ask for full recounts.

Team Gore wants to win the election with manual recounts. The stupid Florida law allowed them to ask for recounts only selectively. They made a huge mistake imo by not saying loudly every day, "This election deserves a full statewide recount! We would rather have a full recount!" They deserve to be slammed for maneuvering for unfair advantage. But Al Gore did offer to accept a full recount and Bush declined.

Team Bush had the same opportunity to ask for selective recounts where it would help them. They chose not to use it.
The preferred to rely on Jeb's thumb on the scale.

Had anyone impartial been running the show, a statewide recount of the undervote would have happened within two weeks of the election. Florida does a horrific job of counting the vote.
