In an election so close extra time was needed to re-count. Harris cheated and stopped it, denying her own people their fair voice. You have to admit she'd extremely partisan and will do anything to save her boy. If she was a democrat you'd be crying foul. Try to be objective. And for all you people calling me or Gore or democrats names, you're transparently shallow, hateful and subjective partisans. Again, part of the problem not the solution. Nothing will ever get done in this country unless we work together. Why give power to the right-wing anymore than the left-wing? And the Fla legislature is very right-wing. Both extremes are wrong for this country. The people just want it to be fair. And the courts are our only final judges. I would hate for either side's politicians to decide this. Especially Harris who as we now know is actually sleeping with Bush's brother!!

What surprises me is that you don't see that what we have are two politicians - both of which realize that it is probably over if they lose the election. And very very likely that both would do what the other is doing if they were in their position.

Think about it. Bush the "man of the people" would be out on the streets saying how he wants the vote of every man and woman that voted to be counted. While Gore, the man of technology, would be out telling people we need to trust machines. It is rather odd that we have the opposite actually.

Undercounts are indeed quite common around the country. That is why there are provisions for more precise counting of ballots if the undercount appears to make a difference. If it weren't for the electoral college, we might be doing handcounts all around the country right now.

you can't claim to win the game if you changed the rules once it began.
Actually the rule was simple. Vote, use machines, if the result was too close check everything with humans.

Only George Bush and his minions ( I use that word losely because Bush is too stupid to know what it means) tried to stop the process before the check with humans was complete. Normally such an attempt would have been slapped down, but his brother and brother's mistress decided to pervert the process.

I'm sure you understand how that complicated the simple process.
