Funny how it wasn't time to criticize judges when they went Bush's way. That is just one of many demonstrable inconsistencies between the two sides. The Democrats may whine, but they don't insult the judges when the vote doesn't go their way. I guess Republicans accusing judges of a state SC of being hacks, leftists, and the like is not whining but rather acting as a loyal, patriotic American.

As far as Lieberman winning as VP(in the event that the Congress makes the final decision and the HOuse elects Bush, with the Senate 51-50 electing Lieberman).

I don't know that it would be very effective for the Dems to have Lieberman even accept the VP position if Bush wins in the House. Even though Lieberman staying in the Senate as a 50-50 senate doesn't really give them a majority if Cheney is VP(since he can break ties), every vote helps and once in a while, a moderate Republican, who hasn't gotten Delayed or Helmsed, might actually vote with them...and in a 51-49 vote, Cheney plays no role.

Moreover, a Bush-Lieberman administration would send the vice presidency back over 50 years. Lieberman would play a smaller role in that administration than anyone could imagine, to the point of being totally ineffective. That would get old real quick.

I really think if the Congress makes the decision, that Lieberman will withdraw his name right after Bush is selected by the House.
