Yes we would have to look at that. The Fascist movement had its roots in the worship of the environment and the hatred of religion. Historical fact !!!!

One thing that should be abundantly clear by now is that neither candidate, party, or platform has received a convincing national mandate, and that whoever eventually takes office will be perceived as illegitimate by a significant number of voters.

I think it would settle the tension a great deal if both candidates would publicly admit this obvious truth and promise that if elected, they will abandon the more partisan elements of their platforms, include moderate members of the other party in their decision-making circle, and in general strive for a government dedicated toward compromise and moderation.

I don't expect that to happen. Not with the pair of insignificant whiners contesting this election, neither of which would be running for local dogcatcher if their daddies hadn't been politically prominent.

I take some small consolation in the knowledge that whoever takes office will be a political cripple from day one. If we have to have such a pathetically inconsequential specimen as President, we might as well cripple him. He'll do less damage that way.
