darling, or a 'patsy' stock for lucky know nothings?

Twister you make my point exactly. If you invest in the stock market, any time during the course of your ownership of the shares you are subject to events which are adverse to your interest for the short or long-term. That's life, accept it, or get out of the market entirely or go buy a fist full of T-Bonds.
