<<we will agree that the FL-SC had a Solomon like case
on their hand, and acted appropriately.>>

What the FL-SC did is write new law after the election had taken place. Their job was/is to interpret law not write it.
If this were not the case what would states need the legislature for?

Funny how lawyers seem to be the only people who are enjoying this legal charade..

Im sure I speak for a number of Americans when I say its just becoming extremely confusing.. And the fact that lawyers both here and in the media are running with it terrifies me.. Just something to think about since this 'see how the system works' excitement is pretty much only in the minds of people who make their livings from such things..

My perception is this is a breakdown of the system, and like I said above- its confusing to me, so obviously I am out of my league and cant even begin to join in on the ramblings other than voicing some quick opinions- but so much has happened here to shake my confidence in the system (even if that is only due to confusion) but this speaks volumes because I know im not alone sir..

I did however have the wisdom to pull away from the markets (for the most part) while this circus plays out, so possibly the lack of trading is making me moody ?

Glad to see alot of you are enjoying this.. After all, it seems lawyers make up a great deal of the population as of late- which might explain peoples willingness to sit back with a beer and chips and tune into the election coverage rather than a game..

What a brilliant comparison! You are exactly correct in your comparison to Solomon. Just as Solomon made up a decision without precedent, the FSC has done the same. Just as Solomon offered to divide the baby in half, the FSC has offered to divide the country. In Solomon's case, the real mother loved the baby enough to not allow the baby to be divided in half. Will the same happen here?

Hi Zeev Hed; Re: "I have been telling him for weeks that he'd better pay attention since this is a once in a life time event to see how our system can work."

If this truly is a once in a lifetime event, why should we pay any attention to it? (G)
