Richard Li’s Pacific Century Cyberwork’s Japan (PCCW Japan) today (12/07) acquired a controlling 51% stake in mobile and Internet content production company B-Factory Co.
PCCW Japan’s ¥300 mil. (US$2.8 mil.) investment in the company is designed to bolster its content and production capabilities for PCCW’s regional broadband mobile service and NOW (Network of the World) broadband portal.
Formerly a subsidiary of Bandai Visual Inc., B-Factory develops, produces and manages digital content for both mobile and Internet platforms. It presently provides fortune telling content to NTT DoCoMo’s I-Mode.
