The Republican party today is more like the Democrat party of Kennedy. This has been stated by numerous Democrats who are defecting. Personally they are still to much into government spending but at least there is a chance with them. However we need to hold their feet to the fire. The Republicans need to articulate to people just exactly how much government takes out of their lives. Even on a 45 K salary you are working 1/2 the time for government. The problem is that most of these government workers could be working in the private sector. We get very little of value from the government in return for our taxes
