Greg,

Senator Whitman of New Jersey was an observer in Broward county and she reported the recounts to be a farce with standards constantly being changed in a deliberate attempt to increase Gore's totals

Now there is an impartial source for you. Which position was she expecting in the Bush administration?

How about those 5,000 absentee ballots fixed only for Republicans, in violation of many laws? Was that a deliberate attempt to increase Republican totals?

I can't believe the judges wimped out on those cases. Now Baker is off trying to get a single USSC justice to overturn the FLSC. Too bad Al Haig isn't around to run the White House.

RE:"the two parties had one representative each observing the count. In West Palm if there was an objection by the democrat the objection was upheld 2 to 1 by the canvassing board. If the Republican objected the objection was denied 2 to 1 by the canvassing board. Not surprisingly, the canvassing board was made up of 2 democrats and 1 Republican"

This is incorrect. The Palm Beach canvassing board is made up of 3 democrats...
