Well put Lee, several times during the "mess", Berney and I have looked at the 5 minute charts on indexes and the effect that Bush/Gore comings and goings are having is obvious as you have stated. Originally I thought that the earnings picture was the major mover here and the election stuff had worn off a bit, alas this is just not the case. Good observation about the PPT! I have seen this process at work before and it is quite pronounced. Having said that, if they don't step in and OEX goes below 680 or so, kiss this sucker go'bye! I view it as a wonderful buying opportunity because the PPT has always been successful and very timely.gggg CU Paul K.
