I agree with you that we should have balance in our Supreme Court.

Roe vs. Wade is an important decision for women. It is easy for men and women over child bearing age to say that they think the Roe vs. Wade will be safe with any COurt. Bush was also attempting to get votes from women and he wanted women to think that he would not overturn abortion rights. If you are a woman who is in her child bearing years then you need to 100% sure that the right to an abortion is legal.

One of Bush's advisers was Ralph Reed who was a right hand man of Pat Robertson. We all know that the Christian Coalition was highly prolife and gave alot of money to Bush for his campaign. I think they will be wanting a payback should Bush move into the White House.
