There is an interesting article on Norilsk in the November issue of the French magazine "GEO". It is a very depressing place. It's a wonder that the Russians can produce anything at all from the region. The technology is from 1953 and apparently none of it has been upgraded. Can you imagine how much of the palladium is being lost to the tailings <g>? My impression is that this Russian palladium situation will be a recurring theme over the next decade. That's why Pd is such a good bet.
