Morning Bland,

I had been a bit concerned about that ... Judicial appointments... but my sense now is that with the congress and the senate so equally divided, the only type of justices that have a hope of being appointed to the USSC will be centrists...

On another note, if Gore does win, I simply cant imagine anything that he wants being done - given the fury and reaction of the repubs that I saw yesterday... seems that there is almost no chance of Gore being able to unite ...

Ah well....

Regards my friend....

Hi bland,

>>"It does matter. What we are witnessing in Florida is precisely why it does matter. In two words:

Judicial appointments."<<

I agree this is one of the main, albeit unspoken reasons for this pitched battle.

>>"The Supreme Court should be neither pro Bush nor pro Gore. They should be pro Constitution and pro separation of powers."<<

I could not agree more.
