Yes food is one subsidy I don't mind paying taxes for. No one in this world should be hungry. However dont ever talk about multi-culturalism when these cultures are so failed that they cannot even provide food for their people.

It is hard to get one's point across at times using short little messages often taken out of context and in some cases written in pure frustration. The main point I was aiming for is that food is very much a bargain in this country and that fact is not widely appreciated among a large portion of the population. What a certain people in this country would call "hard times" would be a cherished opportunity by a many people in third world countries. And though I know full well that farmers will never organize enough to get some control on the prices of their commodities....a dose of reality in what it takes to produce this food would not be a bad thing. And I confess that my earlier post in some ways vindictive towards those that have yet learned what a pure stroke of luck it is to be born in this country. I don't care what sacrifices your forefathers made to get you here, whether it was on the Mayflower, as an indentured servant, debtors prison ship, slave ship, native American or by any other means. Those who seek a permanent victim status and those that cultivate that perception do a terrible disservice to this country.
