In Europe churches are raising revenue by leasing their churches' infrastructure to deploy Base Stations. Now with the One up there on the side of wireless I don't think the lawyers will have a chance!!

The NIMBY is indeed a problem for deploying mobile infrastructure. In Switzerland (Swiss are very militant people) the police has to come to protect the installation crews at some sites. But the cells are getting smaller. We have now pico cells. We can disguise them as chimneys and such.

But once the old generation baby boomers pass the batton the the young ones NIMBY wll tend to fade. This is because old folks tend to long for the "good" old days and want their surroundings unchanged and would like the milleu to be frozen in time.

Then comes the new generation with a new outlook and things can be changed.
