What is occurring in FL is simply a joke: each county is recounting WITHOUT any COMMON standard to determine what constitutes a "legal" vote. This is truly an affront to due process. This is not a time to feel proud of our system. The only hope we have is for the U.S. Supreme Court to stop this madness and bring some modicum of integrity back to the process.

What either of them does, is controlled by opinion polls, and the interest groups that fund their campaigns. At this point, there are no rules, no protocols, no traditions to guide behavior, so anything goes. You want them to be "big men"? We haven't had any of those since Lincoln, or maybe since Jefferson. The amazing thing is how well the country has done, with little men.
