Re: Harris There was no discretion involved.

Did Harris have any discretion as to whether to open the offices on Sunday or Monday? Did she have any discretion on Sunday in accepting counted votes after 5:00PM?

The law did not, however, require Joe Lieberman to abandon every principle he has stated publicly throughout his career during this campaign. The word "whore" comes to mind, but I prefer the more accurate "fraud". That term makes him perfectly residential in the Clinton/Gore Nazi organization.

For someone who, at the same time, wore the Jewish religion on his sleeve to the point of drawing criticism even from prominent names in that faith, I'm not sure how to assess the incredibly awesome dimensions of his potential shame...

Cobalt Blue - Re:"That doesn't affect in any way the legal requirement for the Secretary of State to certify the results and Governor Bush to sign the certificate."

The issue with brother Jeb was one of timing. The result in Florida was not yet final but Jeb rushed to send the certification to the National Archives, becoming one of the first states to file results, even though the results were not "final". Other states waited until their results were finally sorted out before they filed their certifications.

But not Jeb. He engaged in a game of stop me if you can. If Gore wins, watch for the the Bush argument that the certified results have already been filed and can not be undone.
