Bush Decides Against Recount in Close New Mexico Race

By Zelie Pollon

SANTA FE, N.M. (Reuters) - Republican George W. Bush (news - web sites), locked in an election court contest in Florida that will decide who enters the White House, will not seek to overturn Democrat Al Gore (news - web sites)'s narrow New Mexico victory, state Republicans said on Friday.

Just minutes before the Friday deadline for a recount request expired, New Mexico Republican Party Chairman John Dendahl said the Bush campaign had decided against a challenge to Gore's 366-vote lead out of about 615,000 ballots cast statewide.

LD,

Fine, was that allowed by the law in NM Lawdog? Did Bush accept the result? Did Bush attempt to change the standard there? Answers please.

Try again, its not really fun for me if I can provide the correct answer in less than 10 seconds. At least give me some questions that require thought.
