Yeah, I know. He was asked to run a race with an anvil tied to one leg. Believe it or not, I still think he would win. There just didn't look to me like there were enough votes in "Gore country", if they were all re-counted with conservative standards.

It might be moot now that the US SC has issued a stay. I don't have a clue as to the merits of the Bush case (obviously I'm sympathetic), but this stay is, well, stunning. It's by no means clear the US SC will run in Bush's favour - if not, this whole thing could start up again Monday afternoon.
