Is that Nuke plant down the street from you?

Let's hope for you and your family that it keeps running smoothly. Not much margin for error if you know what I mean.

<<Anyway, its nice to live in a state (AZ) that has a massive, smoothly functioning nuclear power plant in these times of strife, eh?<G>

pappf, I just spoke with PPL reps on the new power plant going in south of Phoenix. Arizona will be in great shape power-wise moving forward even though we are just poor dumb middle Americans heh-heh. (Did you see Mario Cuomo's comments bout Mssr. Bush last night on Larry King live? Saying "Im sure that Bush is having fun right now down in Texas cleaning barns and riding horses, and all that stuff". (Is Cuomo really that bigoted or corrosive?).

Now someone help me. An attorney just came into my office and told me that California lifted the ban on burning literally anything to crank out power- Is that correct?

Environmental fines will still appply- But what's 10,000/day fine when power sells frof $1200/megawatt hour?

is this true??

I'm trying to find the article, but it actually stated that enviro's favored the Calpine plant at Coyote Valley, having been consulted with all along by CPN officials.
CPN's main opposition is Cisco and the city of San Jose. Cisco does not want an unsightly power plant within view of their massive new campus. Not certain as to the extent of the sweetheart deal between CSCO and the city of San Jose.
