"If there had been a statewide recount that was objective and not subjective and Gore had won I most certainly would have accepted it." Yes I agree that would have been nice. But what if, as a result of this recount, your man wins and actually has some legitimacy. Wouldn't that be nice?? Hand recounts have always been part of the process. And I guess we could agree that they are inherently flawed to some degree. But what I dont buy is that democrats are just making up votes. Both sides have representatives present. To listen to the republicans you would think that the republican representatives present were gagged and tied up and unable to speak out if they thought a vote wasnt for Gore.
