However, we can yet retain the actual teachings of Jesus, if they speak to something within us. Boy howdy! Now see, who can fault that? Not me, certainly. The better parts of the bible sound Buddhist. Buddhism appeals to me in principle, if not the whole of their doctrines. The really cool thing is acceptance of "the many paths" all leading to the same place. I accept that. It's not like I select my friends on their beliefs as much as their behavior and ideas, though they are inextricably linked.
