Why do GOPers want to believe that hand recounts were just invented for this election? This is standard procedure and your attempts to spin it differently are solely politically motivated. Machine error existed in the counting process. The limitations of the machines prevented many valid votes in the undervote from ever being counted. If that does not constitute machine error, I don't know what does. The only way to know if there are valid votes in the undervote is to have a human being look at them. Someday there may be a robot that can do this, but until one is invented we are stuck with human beings. That's fine with me.
