dan, how do you justify not paying down the debt? i believe the avg family's first $6k they send in taxes goes to interest (not principle!) on the debt. this amount is growing long term. is the next stop $12k?

the feeding the poor is small potatos compared govt officials enriching their "network" through various "programs."

imho, paying down the debt and letting american families keep $6k a years IS the way to go. don't cut services to the needy. cut the "payolas" to the "networks." come on, everyone knows that $10k toilet seats (or whatever) is absurd. congress doesn't mind spending opm on it b/c they know the mfr will contribute back to their campaign. or, perhaps, the owner is a friend or cousin.
