byhiselo, Re so much for my plan to sell some puts I didn't own Interesting comment. I've been trained in the "mash the sell button on green" school of thought recently. I must admit it's made me some healthy dollars. Anyway, here is a little interesting story. I had SUNW Jan 55's crash poots. I have been generating free crash poots for some time now. The trick is to always sell at least half as soon as they double up. That way, you do not end up a loser. Anyhow, my SUNW poots went green on my DATEK account so I sold 'em. It was at least a 20 bagger (I should of been more careful at this point -g-). So, I then I found out next that the stock had split. Not only that but I had sold itm poots SUNW Jan 55's after a split. Maybe someone at DATEK was pulling my chain and laughing up thier sleeve. I of course sent in an email saying that selling poots naked was not my style. Next I got a margin call. I told DATEK that I do not use margin, I only use margin to short stocks (I do not have any shorts yet). I like DATEK how they make everything look simple. There computer program obviously broke down on the SUNW split. Rather then some code (SUNW.XGY)they have your account look like real. I admire there view on this point. I have SUNW Jan 27.5's now, and have sold half of them. It's been very profitable at every turn. I think DATEK is OK, but if I need to call a USA lawyer I will <BG> I have faith in those guys -g- Last comment. It looks as if the trade got broke. I am happy with that. If it is real. DATEK look to be good at this point in time. regards, pearly.
