William: I basically agree with you. On a scale of 1-10, I would only rate Gore a 5, but he still was 4 points ahead of D-Dubya-I. (The only reason I give Bush a 1 instead of a zero is because he owns a dog, as I do.) I think the next leader of the Democratic Party will be neither Gore nor Hillary. (Kerrey of Massachusetts perhaps?) Hillary has already stated she has no intention of running for president in '04.
